2022 is quickly on its way out! In 2021 the world was focused on managing a global pandemic, we changed our habits, modified how and where we work – it affected our day-to-day lives and impacted our mental health.
2022 was about trying to understand, create, and then create again what our new norm would look like, in both our personal and work lives. As we all tried to contend with these changes, the solution became clear. There is no one solution.
Organizations must have products that are: mobile, flexible, allow for collaboration, while at the same time providing protection and privacy. For many office furniture manufacturers, this was unfamiliar territory. As a result, their quick fix was to put their existing designs on casters and call it a solution! This is a band-aid, that does not come close to providing the market with what it really needs. Fortunately, this has been Swiftspace’s bread and butter since our inception in 2009. In fact, we are an industry leader in providing products that are mobile, flexible, and provide privacy.
During this past year we have tried to help our clients in two ways:
- Helping them understand how the workspace was evolving and the product functionality required
- By continuing to develop and launch products with the mobility and flexibility that was needed.

In March 2022, we launched the Shift Workstation. You can learn more about this product by watching this short video and checking out the brochure. I think you will agree that the Shift is an excellent combination of design and functionality.
In September 2022, we launched the DOS+. A mobile meeting booth that provides a quite space for one or two people to work. Check out the video and brochure to learn more!
Looking forward, I am very excited to share what we have planned.
SUSTAINABILITY: We hear you, understanding what companies are doing around sustainability is important. So, in 2023 we will be preparing Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for our Aluminum and Panel products and working towards obtaining BIFMA e3 Level Certification. Look for these certifications by mid year.
OPERATIONS: Over the years Swiftspace has been successful because of our ability to provide custom, made to order, solutions in an effective and efficient manner. As we continue to grow, we understand that we are important to you only if we continue to be able to produce a high-quality customizable product on a timely basis. As a result, in 2023 we will be sourcing and implementing a new ERP system that supports made to order manufacturing from quoting to shipment.
PRODUCTS: In 2023 we will have two focuses
- Continuing to help you take advantage of our new Shift product, to meet the functionality requirements of the new workplace. There is no other solution on the market that ships fully assembled on casters (at 15% of it’s open footprint), with integrated privacy and the ability to personalize to a fixed height for the individual user OR with full electric height adjustability. - Creating a mobile multi-functional mobile wall system that will merge privacy and storage in innovative ways. Our end goal is to give users the ability to quickly change space from collaborative to independent work. Look for the launch of this new product family in Spring 2023.
