COVID-19 Update

March 16, 2020

The situation around the COVID-19 virus, now declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization, continues to evolve in Canada and beyond. It is our collective responsibility to contain the spread of the virus and help those who are the most vulnerable.

Our number one priority is to protect the health and well-being of our people, customers, and community. We have implemented a number of measures to ensure everyone’s health, wellbeing and resilience through these unpredictable times while maintaining the highest level of service.

Swiftspace’s executive team are talking daily to review the latest data, to interpret the warning signals, to re-frame our understanding of what’s important, and to take action if required.

We are actively monitoring and implementing Canadian and international best practices in pandemic management, emergency response and a range of other specialized areas, including policy frameworks for travel, meetings, and events, as well as the development of operational solutions.

We are prepared to act in accordance with the new information and guidance from the provincial, federal and international health authorities.

Finally, should the COVID-19 outbreak require temporary office closures and remote work arrangements, we have operational continuity plans in place to continue to operate our business as efficiently as possible.

The Corona Virus has and will continue to raise havoc in the Office Furniture Industry with the delivery of many products that are produced entirely or have components produced in Asia being delayed indefinitely.

Swiftspace is fortunate in that the components we use to make our Solo stations come from North America so we are in the position where we can deliver Solo stations quickly if you need new workspaces and are not able to get them.

  • As of right now, we can build within two weeks the following with white work surfaces and with our standard Swiftship laminates: 21 Solo or Solo+ 4×4 and 26 Solo or Solo+ 6×6 workstations with Poly or Laminate or ezoBord uppers.
  • We can also build up to another 100 stations (Solo or Solo+ in 4×4 or 6×6 sizes) within three weeks with white work surfaces and with our standard Swiftship laminates.
  • Accessories like monitor arms and power bars would be available as long as we have supplies.

In addition to being able to quickly create flexible workspaces the other big advantage
Swiftspace products have is that if you have your own facility team you can quickly set them up themselves without the need to bring outsiders onsite. If you don’t have your own team the amount of time required to have outside folks on your premises is reduced significantly over standard workstations.

Please be sure to let us know if we can help you through what we all hope is a short-term crisis.
